Our Valued Staff

  • Mike & Pam Marker

    Mike & Pam Marker Owners

Mike began working for the Dowdy Funeral Home after the unfortunate and untimely death of Stuart Dowdy in 2002. He served as the Funeral Director for Betty and Bobbie Dowdy for five years while Stuart's family grieved. In 2007, Betty and Bobbie decided they would prefer to sell the funeral home to Mike & Pam with the agreement that Betty would continue to work at the funeral home. Mike & Pam also own funeral homes in Bixby and Jenks and while they are not residents of Haskell, they feel very close to Haskell and are very appreciative of all the support they receive from the community and are very proud of the many relationships that have been formed with their friends in Haskell.

Over the years she has been a part of many life changing events both in her own life and in the lives of the families we serve. She credits God for allowing her to be in an occupation where she can make a difference in someone’s life during their darkest hour.

  • Stephanie Powell

    Stephanie Powell Family Service Advisor

Dowdy-Marker, Hargrove-Marker and Leonard-Marker Funeral Homes consider it an honor to serve our communities with Advanced Funeral planning and funeral or cremation services. We truly desire to be a trusted partner to families BEFORE and AFTER services are needed.

Stephanie Powell is our Family Service Advisor and works to educate our community and families on the importance and benefits of Advanced Funeral Planning. As a ministry wife, Stephanie has a heart for serving and caring for people, so she decided to make a career change by joining our team in September 2017. Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and enjoyed a successful 18 year career in Mortgage Banking but was excited for a new opportunity to minister to families by helping them offer a gift of love to their families through Advanced Funeral Planning. She also helps support and encourage families during and after loss of a loved one occurs. Stephanie has served her communities in many ways over the years by volunteering her time through the local chamber of commerce, churches, Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, schools, food banks, etc. She enjoys ministry life with her husband Mark and they have 2 sons, Ty and Easton.

After watching many tragic deaths occur this year alone, Stephanie is passionate about educating individuals, families and communities on the importance of Advanced Funeral Planning. It truly is a gift of love for your family not to have the burden of planning a funeral when loss occurs.
